Endlers are a colorful fish that are extremely active in the aquarium. They are prone to swimming around, showing off to each other, and pecking at algae (check out my guide here on how good of algae eaters they are or aren’t).
Do Endlers like current?
Endlers are also great in a single-species tank because of their constant curiosity and endlessly active nature. Water current: Endlers should not be subjected to strong water currents. In fact, if you notice listlessness or disinterest in food, it’s likely pH and water hardness (dissolved minerals) are too low.
Are Endlers better than guppies?
Endler’s are most often found in more stagnant waters, compared to other guppies who prefer faster waters, Fancy guppies, or the common guppies, can also be found in hundreds of variations. They can be found in just about any color, so they can liven up your tank with ease.

Let’s start with the easiest part: the aquarium! Thanks to their small size, Endler’s livebearers only need a tank size of 20 gallons to thrive. A 20-gallon tank is suitable for a group of four or five fish. If you want to keep more, increase the tank size accordingly.

I kept my endlers with a heater at about 76. That’s what they’ve adapted to in the wild so why would you want to mess with that. Keeping fish at a correct and steady temperature reduced their stress and susceptibility to disease.
How many endlers are in a 5 gallon?
As for the endlers, 5-6 males would be good. I would avoid getting females to prevent the overpopulation problem. If you want to breed them, I suggest a bigger tank (15g+).
Can you touch guppies?

1.5 endler’s livebearers per gallon seems to be a safe upper limit for how many you can keep without seriously increasing how often you have to do maintenance and water changes.
