Can a city water connection block an RV?

On occasion, the one-way valve in the city water inlet on some RVs breaks, and the pieces can block the water flow. I’m not sure which connection you have in your coach, but it will have some sort of check valve, and that could be plugged or faulty.

Why is my RV city water not working?

You won’t get any water from the RV city water connection. As for the solution, you need to check the instruction manual. And then check each valve and see if they are in the right place or not. Sometimes, they get connected to the wrong place and cause a fault in connection.

Why is the city water connection not working?

We have been using the water tank as we travel. Nothing comes out when we use city water, and the water tank will not fill from the connection that is both the city water and tank fill. We can fill the tank using the other access, and the water works fine from the tank.

How does the RV city water inlet work?

The RV city water inlet on the outside of the RV makes it possible to hook up to an outside source, such as a campground or residential faucet using a hose, and have pressurized water running on the inside. To hook up to the RV city water inlet you must first remove the outside cap and get a hose that is designed for drinking water.

Why does my RV water tank not fill?

Same hose and faucet will fill the tank on the other side of the RV, and we can use water from the tank. When we flip to “fill” on the same connection as the city water, the tank does not fill. So, its like something in that connection is blocking water from entering. Water is not going on the ground, its just not flowing. Location:Burnet, TX.
