Does Contact Solution Freeze

Can contact lenses be frozen? 3

I wanted to order a circular lens and now it's freezing cold! Is everything alright if my package arrives and my contacts freeze? Can they be melted down normally? Can I use it? Should I wait for spring? :)

I am an ophthalmologist in Oklahoma. I have a small office. Since I have two offices, I have some contacts in the car. I don't think the snow is hurting them. Contact lenses are stored in salt water. This means that they will freeze at a lower temperature than water. Most of the time, your package is in or out of the car. This can be a problem if the temperature near you is usually below 0 ° F. If not, don't worry.

You will have to wait until spring to order it. When contact lenses freeze, the polymer breaks and the lenses can damage your cornea if you wear them. It cannot be changed.

I have been diving in various forms for a long time and wear non-stick (comfortable) contact lenses. However, once you start having problems with your contacts (dry eyes, etc.), it can no longer be a solid theory.
