If there is presure loss, there is a leak. Sometimes you can get lucky by tightening every fitting and that may fix the leak. The other place I have seen leaks is in the shrader valve. Hopefully the system has a sight glass. Watch for bubbles in the sight glass. When the bubbles go away, the system is full. You should see an occasional bubble or 2.
