Is the Dometic RMD 8551 fridge a problem?

Hi, I have a new van with a Dometic RMD 8551 fridge. The fan seems to continually switch in (not noticed it before) is this normal or do I have problem. Just getting the van prepared for a trip – turned fridge on to get it cool – today is warm about 26 degrees.
